Pioneers, Azul Settle for Scoreless Draw

Goalkeepers Matt Sangeloty and Warren Gross kept the sheet spotless in Friday’s 0-0 draw between the Azul and Pioneers at Lusitano Stadium.
Sangeloty stopped the only shot he saw for the Azul while Gross made three saves for the Pioneers. Azul forward Ryan Kinne, who will play in Sunday’s reserve match between the Revolution and Crew, was cautioned in the 72nd minute.
The Pioneers return to action on Jun. 15 when they host Portland at 7:30pm. The Azul will play their second game in as many days when they welcome Worcester for a home game at Willowbrook Park in New Britain, Conn. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm.
