Player Ratings: Boston Breakers vs. New York Fury
- Updated: June 23, 2012
Alice Binns – 5.5
Made a few nice stops and smothered some loose balls, but there were a few careless bobbles.
Courtney Jones – 4
Got burned for speed too many times and made one or two reckless fouls.
Cat Whitehill – 6.5
Got along well with Hemmings and cleaned up a slew of messes at the back, not as involved offensively as she usually is.
Taryn Hemmings – 7
Smart defending all night and paired well with Whitehill. First to the ball, clean challenges, all around good game.
Elli Reed – 6.5
Marked wingers very well and had great passing out of the back.
Leslie Osbourne – 7
Was the usual general that she is in midfield. More of a defensive presence against New York than offensive.
Bianca D’Agostino – 6.5
Didn’t really get into the attack, but did a fantastic job covering Tobin Heath and cleaning up messes in midfield.
Heather O’Reilly – 6
Great runs out of midfield, but poor finishing. Touches were a bit big on breakaways too. But excellent service on Simon’s first goal.
Amanda DaCosta – 6
Robbed of a goal thanks to a great save by the Fury goalkeeper. Good job transitioning into attack.
Kyah Simon – 6.5
Terrific finishing and good job getting into scoring position. Her teammates put the ball on a silver platter for her.
Katie Schoepfer – 6
Quiet night for Schoepfer in regards to goal mouth action. But she did have two assists.
(sub) Julie King – 5.5
Had much more pace than Jones and seemed to work well with the rest of the backline.
