Former Revolution and Boston Victory midfielder Andrew Sousa has signed with Operário, a third division Portuguese club located in Lagoa (Azores).

Sousa, who hails from Fall River, Mass. and played collegiately at Providence, inked a deal with the club last week and will eligible to play once the appropriate documents from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) are cleared with the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).

A third-round supplemental pick in 2011, Sousa scored two goals in nine games during Open Cup and Reserve Division competition. Although the Revolution waived him following the conclusion of the season, he signed with Boston Victory (PDL) for the 2012 season. He scored two goals in 10 games for the Victory in 2012.
