Sanchez Loaned to Rochester

After racking up over 321 minutes during the preseason, 2013 supplemental selection Jossimar Sanchez will get the chance to find more action during the regular season after the Revolution loaned him to its USL-PRO affiliate in Rochester.
The 22-year-old defender, who arrived at camp as an unsigned draft pick, earned a contract after a strong preseason performance. He featured primarily at outside back, and displayed decent technique on his throw-ins. Sanchez reported to Rochester earlier this week.
Sanchez spent most the 2013 calendar year recovering from a leg injury he suffered during his senior year the University of Connecticut. He trained with the Revolution during the latter part of the season, and was invited back for preseason camp in January.
Sanchez joins fellow Revolution teammates Luis Soffner and Alec Sundly on the Rochester roster. Soffner and Sundly were loaned to the Rhinos last week. One additional Revolution player will be loaned to the USL-PRO outfit to bring the total to four, the number outlined in the affiliation agreement. The Revolution can re-call any of its loan players at any time.
The Rhinos kick off their season on Apr. 5 at Orlando City, which will play in MLS next year.
