Following a disappointing 1-1 draw to the Portland Timbers last weekend, the Revolution will be looking for more at both ends of the pitch when they host Chivas USA on Saturday.

Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro.

Scheduled kick-off: 7:30 p.m.

TV/Radio: Comcast Sportsnet; 98.5 FM The Sports Hub.

Season series: Only regular-season meeting between the two teams; Chivas beat the Revoultion 3-2 in a preseason match on February 22nd of this year; Last year’s only meeting between the teams resulted in a 1-1 draw at the StubHub Center in California.

Revolution update: 8-12-3 overall, 27 points through 23 games (1.17 points per game), with 30 goals scored and 36 goals against….Currently sit one point behind the New York Red Bulls for fifth place in the Eastern Conference and 3 points behind the Columbus Crew for fourth place….Charlie Davies has recorded a point in each of the last three games, his first points with the Revolution….The Revolution are unbeaten in their last seven games against Chivas USA going 5-0-2 in that span….The Revolution lead the all team series 7-5-4 including a 4-2-2 record at home….The Revolution will play four of their next five games at home during a key stretch with only 11 games remaining on their schedule.

Chivas USA update: 6-11-6 overall, 24 points through 23 games (1.04 points per game), with 21 goals scored and 36 goals against…..Currently in last place in the Western Conference….Currently last in the MLS in goals scored….Chivas USA is coming off a 0-0 draw at home vs. Vancouver, their only point in the previous four games….Chivas has been held scoreless in four matches, with their last goal coming on an 84th minute penalty kick on July 20th in a 3-1 loss at DC United….Erick Torres is their key offensive threat, scoring 14 of the teams 21 goals, taking 32.4 percent (72-222) of the team’s shots and 35.2 percent (25-71) of the team’s shots on goal….Torres is 3rd in the MLS in goals scored, trailing only Dom Dwyer of Sporting Kansas City (16) and Bradley Wright-Phillips of New York Red Bulls (18).
