Snow showers that are expected to bring accumulations of up to three inches could impact Saturday’s Revolution-Earthquakes match at Gillette Stadium.

According to weather.com, snow is expected to start falling during the early morning hours on Saturday, and continue through the early evening. Saturday’s kickoff is set for 3:00pm, and the hourly forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of snow showers, with temperatures expected to be in the mid-30s, with a northern wind of 14 mph.

A special weather statement for Western Norfolk County, Mass. was issued by the National Weather Service in Boston on Friday afternoon advising that 1-3 inches of snow is expected, as well as the possibility of lower visibility for motorists.

Last week, snow and rain fell ahead of the Revolution home opener vs. the Montreal Impact. Much of the precipitation had tapered off by the time kickoff arrived. Despite the conditions, 14,189 showed up for the conference clash.
