Jermaine Jones was upgraded to questionable on the latest Revolution injury list, which was released on Friday ahead of this weekend’s conference clash with the Chicago Fire.
Jones, who returned to training with the team after missing the last seven weeks due to sports hernia surgery, told the media that he’d travel to Chicago for Saturday’s game.
However, Jones is unlikely to see action this weekend as he remained limited in training this week.
Another player whose injury status was upgraded was that of left back Kevin Alston, who missed the last two games after suffering a hamstring strain in Dallas. Alston was upgraded to questionable ahead of Saturday’s game, as well.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth was listed as questionable due to a concussion he suffered in training last week. The injury prompted backup Brad Knighton to start against New York City FC, a game in which the Revolution posted their first shutout since mid-June.
Defender Darrius Barnes, who underwent knee surgery in April, remains listed as out.
