Less than 24 hours after staking a 2-0 preseason-opening win over San Jose, the Revolution were back on the pitch Thursday, but couldn’t find the same success against FC Dallas, who handed the locals a 2-1 loss at Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Ariz.

Timo Pitter gave Dallas a two-goal margin with strikes in the 24th and 42nd minute before Steve Neumann turned a Michael Gamble pass into paydirt during the 48th minute of the 60-minute scrimmage, which was divided into separate, 30-minute halves.

With the loss, the Revolution’s preseason record falls to 1-1-0, the identical mark they had two games into their 2015 preseason slate.

The Revolution will resume their preseason slate on Saturday at 6:30pm ET when they face the Vancouver Whitecaps at Kino North Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. Following the match, the Revolution will fly back to Boston, and resume training in Foxboro through next week.
