Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe, who departed Sunday’s match at Houston right before the second half, was listed as questionable with a left hip contusion ahead of Saturday’s home opener vs. DC United.

Rowe picked up the injury during the first half against the Dynamo, and intended to play through it during the early part of the second half.

According to coach Jay Heaps, the injury tightened up en route to the field from the locker room. Scott Caldwell took over for Rowe during the second half.

As a result of the injury, Rowe was not a full participant in training on Tuesday and Wednesday.

With Rowe’s fitness in question, Caldwell could get his first start of the season against DC. The fourth-year midfielder battled an undisclosed injury during the preseason.

On the other end of the pitch, DC United will be without goalkeeper Bill Hamid (torn meniscus 1/21, out 4-6 months), defender Chris Korb (right ACL tear), midfielders Markus Halsti (knee sprain) and Patrick Nyarko (head injury), and forward Fabian Espindola (hamstring injury) as all were listed as out on the club’s injury report.
