It appears the Union and Revolution may have to share the spotlight with Mother Nature on Sunday.

With a nor’easter forecast to hit the region this weekend, 2-4 inches of snow could fall on Sunday in Chester, Pa. according to the National Weather Service.

So what does this mean for the Revolution? Given striker Charlie Davies’ hamstring strain, the likelihood of a slick surface could sway coach Jay Heaps to keep the scorer on the sidelines, especially at this juncture of the season. The weather could also prompt more set piece work during training on Friday and Saturday.

The last time the locals encountered snow, Kelyn Rowe put the fluorescent yellow ball into the back of the net twice to send the locals on their way to a 2-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Mar. 28, 2015. Many will remember that the match set up a humorous April Fool’s Day joke in which the Revolution revealed that MLS had docked them three points for use of the “unauthorized” ball.
