Bunbury, Tierney Both Earn Weekly Honors

Revolution left back Chris Tierney and midfielder Teal Bunbury were both named to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week for their performances during a relatively quiet week 4 of league action.
Tierney scored the equalizer in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at New York City FC, collected four key passes, and completed 73.9 percent of his passes. His 90-minute performance was good enough to be named the Man of the Match by whoscored.com, which gave him a match-best 8.82 rating.
Bunbury won a team-high four aerial challenges, fired two shots, and connected on 75 percent of his passes during his 79-minute shift against City. On the defensive end, he recorded three interceptions, and on the whole, garnered a 7.72 player rating from whoscored.com.
Center back Andrew Farrell earned an honorary mention.
Meanwhile, former Western Mass Pioneer Tommy McNamara earned spot on the Team of the Week after scoring City’s lone goal in the 10th minute. He recorded a game-high five shots on Saturday.
The Revolution were one of four teams that had multiple representatives on the Team of the Week following a week 4 slate that only featured four matches. FC Dallas led the way with four (Fabian Castillo, Max Urruti, Michael Barrios, and Mauro Diaz) following a 3-0 drubbing of DC United.
