Offense shouldn’t be a problem in central Massachusetts this summer as the New England Mutiny have brought back forwards Kate Howarth and Rachel Ugolik ahead of their debut season in UWS.

Howarth scored a team-high seven goals for the Mutiny last season while Ugolik scored two goals and added an assist in seven games.

“It’s great to have Kate and Rachel returning to play for the Mutiny again this season,” said Mutiny owner Joe Ferrara, Jr. in a club release. “Individually, they are both very dynamic and with this year being their third consecutive season playing together, we are looking for that continuity to pay dividends in Coach (Joe) Abele’s system.”

Howarth has scored 23 goals and collected eight assists since joining the Mutiny in 2013, the same year in which Ugolik first suited up for the East Longmeadow, Mass. side.

“We are all looking forward to this league,” said Howarth in a club release. “Higher standards and better competition is always the goal and I think this league will provide that for both college kids and players trying to make it to the next level. Looking forward to competing and winning!”

The Mutiny will kick off their 2016 campaign on May 14 against the New York Magic at East Longmeadow High School.
