Gamble Makes Cameo for Rhinos
- Updated: April 17, 2016
Revolution rookie winger Michael Gamble went 25 minutes during his one-match loan spell for the Rochester Rhinos in their 0-0 draw to New York Red Bulls II on Sunday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.
Gamble, who was sent to the Revolution’s USL affiliate on Friday, spelled Providence College alum Marcos Ugarte in the 65th minute and manned the left side of the midfield.
To date, the Revolution’s second-round pick (30th overall) has not made the gameday roster for the Revolution. He played in four Desert Diamond Cup matches, scoring a goal.
The Wake Forest product is the latest Revolution player to see time with the Rhinos this season. Midfielder/defender Donnie Smith and fullback Jordan McCrary were both assigned to Rochester for short-term loans in recent weeks.
Gamble, who wore no. 27 for the Rhinos, will rejoin the Revolution on Monday.
