Gameday: #NEvORL

Gillette-11

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Good evening from Gillette Stadium, where the Revolution (1-2-6, 9 points) will face Orlando City SC (2-2-3, 9 points) a mere 13 days after they played to a wild 2-2 draw at the Citrus Bowl.

The Revolution enter Saturday’s match coming off a last-gasp 1-1 mid-week draw against the Portland Timbers. The Lions arrive in Foxboro fresh off a disheartening 3-2 loss at New York Red Bulls.

What’s at stake? With only one win in their first nine, it’s three points or bust for the Revolution, but it won’t be easy. With starters Charlie Davies, Chris Tierney and Teal Bunbury all expected to miss Saturday’s match, the burden will fall squarely on the shoulders of Lee Nguyen to get the offense back on track. As far as the Lions go, Saturday’s match will be an opportunity to get a result following Sunday’s collapse at Red Bull Arena.

Biggest question: Can the Revolution get enough from the likes of Nguyen and Juan Agudelo to finally put an end to their offensive woes?

Weather: We’ve got clear skies here in Norfolk County with the temperature in the high-50s.

Referees: Robert Sibiga will be the man in the middle for #NEvORL. Joining Sibiga will be Jeff Muschik (AR1) and Peter Balciunas (AR2). The fourth official will be Kevin Terry, Jr.
