Bowen & T. Turner Released from Revs Camp
- Updated: February 23, 2017
Former Re-Entry Draft selection Tristan Bowen and fellow trialist Tyler Turner were both released from Revolution preseason camp on Thursday.
Bowen, 26, was selected in the 2014 Re-Entry Draft, but did not come to terms with the team before he ventured to Europe. He recently played in Sweden with AFC Eskilstuna before joining the Revolution as a preseason trialist. He played in all six of the club’s preseason matches, seeing most of his time in the midfield while seeing minutes up top and in the rear.
Turner, 20, suited up for Orlando City SC last season, and joined the Revolution for preseason training in January. The fullback, who hails from Milford, Ct., featured on both sides of the defense in five preseason games.
With Bowen and Turner no longer in camp, the Revolution preseason roster stands at 23, with rookie defender Joshua Smith as the lone unsigned player still with the club.
