According to Transfermarkt, Okopu is a left-footed midfielder who most recently played with Inter Allies FC, which plays in the top division in Ghana. His last match action came in Feb. 13 tilt against Hearts of Oak.
Sarpong, a defender by trade, was set to play for Inter Allies, but was unable to due to “disciplinary reasons,” according to a report from Ghana. The same report said he was sent to the Revolution as a result.
A request for club comment on the length of the players’ trial was not immediately returned.
