Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe scored his first international goal to aid the United States in their 3-0 win over Nicaragua in Saturday’s Group B finale of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Cleveland, Ohio.
Rowe, who earned his first U.S. cap earlier this month, tallied in the 56th minute on short pass from Boston College alum Alejandro Bedoya inside the box.

Joe Corona opened the account the 36th minute to send the U.S. into the half with the lead, which Rowe extended not long after the break. Matt Miazga capped the scoring in the 88th minute.
Nicaragua’s Luis Copete was sent off in the 85th minute to leave his side shorthanded in the waning minutes.
With the three-goal margin of victory, the U.S. clinched the group over Panama, which also collected the same seven-point haul during group play.
The U.S. will likely face Honduras in Philadelphia on Wednesday in the quarterfinals.
