Joseph, Feilhaber receive international call-ups

New England Revolution midfielders Shalrie Joseph and Benny Feilhaber have both received international call-ups for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Joseph, the Revs’ captain, will represent his native Grenada, while Feilhaber will play for the United States. The pair will play for the Revs on Saturday at Gillette Stadium against the Los Angeles Galaxy before heading off to join their respective national teams.

Both will miss at least two matches for the Revolution and possibly as many as five.

Feilhaber, who has 38 appearances for the U.S., can be seen representing America at Gillette Stadium on June 4th as the U.S. takes on World Cup champions Spain in a friendly match. The U.S. then begins Group C play on Tuesday, June 7th, against Canada in Detroit, before facing Panama on Saturday, June 11th in Tampa, Fla. and Guadeloupe in Kansas City, Kan. on Tuesday, June 14th in the final group match.

Joseph, who has over 20 appearances for Grenada, will begin Group B play with Grenada against Jamaica on Monday, June 6th, in Carson, Calif. Grenada continue group action on Friday, June 10th, against Honduras in Miami, Fla., and finish up group play against Guatemala on Monday, June 13th, in Harrison, N.J.
