It appears that former Revolution center back A.J. Soares has turned his attention to Norway for the time being in the hopes of finding a new club for the 2015 season.

Soares, whose negotiations Serie A side Hellas Verona have reportedly stalled, was invited to train with Tippenligaen side Stabaek, which is coached by former U.S. Men’s National Team coach Bob Bradley.

On Monday, a tweet from Norweigan photographer Arild Beuaset captured Soares training with the Norwegian first division side.

But according to a report from Norway, Soares, who joined the club for training on Sunday, is not in Bradley’s plans. Further, the former U.S. coach hinted that Soares has additional trials lined up elsewhere.

“He’s coming straight from Italy, and to (train) a little with us now,” Bradley told budstikka.no on Monday. “Stabaek lies not in his plans for the future.”

A journalist attempted to speak to Soares about his trial on Monday, but the 26-year-old center back advised that he was prohibited from speaking to the media. He quickly ducked into the locker room following the training session.

Soares holds an Italian passport, thus allowing him a smoother move to a side in Europe. Because he is a free agent, he can join a club outside of the transfer window.

Last week, a deal with Hellas Verona had reportedly hit a snag after the Serie A side elected to sign another defender prior to the close of the transfer window.
