Mutiny Get 2-2 Draw

Mutiny forward Tiya Gellgos scored two goals, but Myriam Bouchard’s late equalizer forced the Mutiny to settle for a 2-2 draw to the Philadelphia Fever on Sunday.

The former Boston University Terrier tallied in the 42nd and 65th minutes while Dylan Jordan and Bouchard scored in the 18th and 81st minutes, respectively, for the Fever.

Jordan opened the scoring when she went down the right then fired a shot on frame that eluded Vikki Alonzo to put the hosts ahead in the 18th minute.

But Gallegos evened it before the interval. From a Riley Houle pass, the Mutiny striker bagged her first goal of the game in the 42nd minute.

In the second half, Gallegos gave the guests the lead when she collected a deflection on front of the Fever goal and buried it in the 65th minute.

But in the final minutes, the Mutiny lead evaporated when Bouchard headed home a corner kick in the 81st to help the Fever find a point before it was all said and done.

The Mutiny return to action on June 2 when the Fever play the role of guest at East Longmeadow High School. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
