Victory, Phantoms Settle for 1-1 Draw
- Updated: July 6, 2012
Russell Oost-Lievense snapped Boston’s 516 minute goal drought, but the Phantoms responded late to keep themselves in the playoff hunt with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.
Oost-Lievense’s 46th minute goal was Boston’s first since Andrew Sousa’s 24th minute goal against Vermont on Jun. 9. But Kenny Doublette’s 77th minute response denied the Victory of three points and kept the Phantoms within a point of the playoff picture.
The Victory return to action on Saturday when they face the Hydra at Foley Stadium at 7pm. The Phantoms hit the road for a Saturday clash against the Fury at 7pm at Algonquin College Soccer Complex.
