Aztec Fall in WPSL Final

Playing in their second WSPL Final in three years, Aztec MA couldn’t conjure the magic of their 2010 championship as they fell to the undefeated Gulf Coast Texans 4-0 in Pensacola, Fla. on Sunday.

Mia Perrson led the way for Gulf Coast with strikes in the 21st and 69th minutes, bookending scores from Ida Gregersen and Shakira Duncan in the 61st and 66th minutes, respectively. Both teams were playing their second game in as many days.

The Texans finish the season 11-0-0, while the Aztec end their campaign with a 10-2-1 record.
