Dorchester’s Ryan Johnson Wins MLS POTW

Portland Timbers forward Ryan Johnson, who grew up in Dorchester, Mass., was voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 6 of the 2013 season by the North American Soccer Reporters on Monday.
Johnson scored both goals (55′, 73′) in the Timbers’ 2-0 win – their first of the season -over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday. His 73rd minute strike has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week.
The 28-year-old striker, who earned the 2002 Boston Globe Player of the Year while at Melrose High School, has three goals in five games for the Timbers this year.
He was originally selected by Real Salt Lake in the third round of the 2006 SuperDraft, before going on to play for the Chicago Fire (2006), San Jose Earthquakes (2008-11 and Toronto FC (2011-12). He has scored 30 goals in 157 career games.

Actually, Ryan Johnson has shown an extra ordinary performance in this match. His every shots were so perfect. As a result he has scored two goals. All of goals was very nice. I think it was his one of the best match.
