Former Revolution midfielder Andrew Sousa scored in stoppage time to help the Rhode Island Oceaneers secure a road point in Saturday’s 2-2 draw to Mass United FC at Dilboy Stadium.

With his squad down a goal with only moments to spare, Sousa beat keeper Malcolm Cheney in the 90+ minute. Carlos Diniz put Mass United ahead early on a 16th minute goal, before Brian Grisell quickly leveled it in the 18th minute. Lassanha Sahna scored the second Mass United goal in the 45+ minute.

The draw puts the Oceaneers record at 6-4-3 (21 points), good for third place on the ASL table. Mass United improved its mark to 4-2-7 (19 points), sitting in fifth place.

Rhode Island returns to action on May 31 when they face Western Mass Pro Soccer at Lusitano Stadium. Mass United will be back on the pitch on May 31 to meet AC Crusaders at Egg Harbor High School.
