- Updated: June 24, 2015
Western Mass Pro Soccer finished the 2014-15 ASL campaign at the top of the table following Saturday’s 1-1 draw to Mass United FC at Dilboy Stadium in Somerville, Mass. on Saturday.
Chris Roswess scored for the Lusitanos in the 41st minute while former Revolution Youth Academy center back Matthew Keys equalized for the Riders in the 66th minute.
The draw allowed Western Mass to finish the season on 37 points with a 10-1-7 record, and allowed the fewest goals (14) in the league. As the top seed going into the ASL postseason, they’ll host the Philadelphia Fury in Saturday’s semi-final match at Lusitano Stadium at 7:30pm.
“I am pleased with how we finished this season,” said Western Mass head coach Federico Molinari in a team release. “Our team overcame many obstacles, but we still have more challenges. We are all working to hoist the championship on July 3.”
