NPSL: Red Cards Undermine BCFC in Loss

Boston City finished with nine men, leaving the door open for New York Athletic Club to score twice late as the locals fell 2-0 on Saturday at Malden Catholic High School in Malden, Mass.

Christian Fernandes and Caique Margarido were sent off in the 49th and 55th minutes before Richard Marquetty came off the bench to tally two goals in the 88th and 90th minutes.

With the loss, Boston City fell to 2-3-1 (7 points) while New York improved to 1-1-3 (4 points).

Boston will return to action on Friday for a friendly against the New England Revolution U-23s at Malden Catholic High School. Kickoff is set for 6:30pm.

The NPSL side will return to league action on Sunday, Jun. 5 against Kingston Stockade FC at Dietz Stadium in Kingston, N.Y.
