USASA: Providence City Stakes 3-0 Win

Providence City opened their Bay State Soccer League (BSSL) fixture list with a flourish on Saturday by staking a 3-0 win over Alleghany FC at Brown University in Providence, R.I.
Kiki Rodriguez led the way as he opened the scoring in the 36th minute, widened the margin in the 68th minute, then put it away in the 80th minute to notch the hat trick. Rodriguez was aided by assists from J.J. Gomes, Eddy Baptista, and Bobby Sturdahl.
Rogues goalkeeper Andres Mazo collected a pair of saves to earn the clean sheet as he and his teammates held the better possession (60 percent) amid rainy conditions in the capital city.
The win allowed the hosts to kick off their second season in BSSL play with a 1-0-0 (3 points) mark while Alleghany fell to 0-1-0 (0 points).
Providence City will look to get their second win on Saturday, Apr. 8 at Coastal United while Alleghany’s search for their first will continue on Saturday, Apr. 8 when they host BCS XI.
