Reed Returns to Breakers

The Breakers added another familiar face on Monday by bringing back defender Elli Reed for the upcoming season.

Reed played in nine games for the Breakers in 2011 after she was released by the Western New York Flash during the preseason. She was the 8th overall pick in the 2011 WPS Draft.

The 22-year-old defender recently featured with the U.S. Women’s National Team U-23 squad in the Four Nations Tournament in La Manga, Spain. She started all three matches, including a 5-0 trouncing of Norway in the final on Mar. 4.
