Jones, Joseph Added to Injury Report

A left leg contusion suffered during last weekend’s match against Montreal has midfielder Jermaine Jones listed as “questionable” on the Revolution’s injury report ahead of the team’s conference clash in Columbus on Saturday.

Jones, who exited the Montreal match at halftime following a rough first-half encounter with Calum Mallace, was seen sporting a walking boot following the team’s 2-1 win over the Impact. Jones was not spotted during passing/possession drills during Wednesday’s training, but coach Jay Heaps termed Jones’ prognosis as “optimistic.”

Joining Jones on the injury list: Shalrie Joseph who is listed as “questionable” with a right quadriceps strain. The holding midfielder was present for Wednesday’s training, and participated in the team’s passing/possession drills.

Andy Dorman (right knee sprain) and Stephen McCarthy (left meniscus surgery) remain listed as “out.” Dorman participated in the team’s passing/possession drills on Wednesday, and is about 10 weeks removed from the time he suffered his injury. The initial prognosis for his recovery was 10-12 weeks.  McCarthy, who underwent surgery last Friday, was not spotted during training. His recovery his expected to take about six weeks.

Meanwhile, left back Chris Tierney, who was listed as “questionable” with a left knee sprain last week, is no longer on the report. Tierney made the gameday roster last weekend, but did not see action. His last appearance came on Jul. 26 vs. Columbus.
