Mass United continues its search for win number one of the ASL season after falling 3-1 to Ironbound Soul on Saturday at Bertram Field in Salem, Mass.

A scoreless first half gave way to a second stanza in which Soul striker Christiano Francois scored twice with goals in the 50th and 57th minutes. Lassana Sanha converted from the spot in the 68th minute after Renivaldo DaSilva was fouled in the box, but guests reclaimed the two-goal cushion when Alfred Santhonax replied in the 84th minute.

The Riders’ loss puts them at 0-3-4 (4 points), while Ironbound improved to 3-1-2 (11 points).

Mass United gets its next crack at the win column on Saturday when travel to New Jersey to face the Philadelphia Fury.
