The Revolution will face the Columbus Crew on Nov. 1 at 4pm ET for the first leg of the Eastern Conference semifinals, which will take place at Crew Stadium. The second leg will take place at Gillette Stadium on Nov. 9 at 5pm ET.

New England, which clinched the second seed last weekend, had to wait until the conclusion of Sunday’s Sporting K.C.-New York Red Bulls match to find out who they’d play this weekend. The Crew secured the third seed after beating the Philadelphia Union 2-1, and Sporting K.C. losing to the Red Bulls 2-0.

The Revolution-Crew matchup will pit two of the hottest teams down stretch against each other. The Revolution went 9-1-1 in their last 11, while the Crew went 8-2-1 during the same span.

The Crew posted a 2-1-0 record against the Revolution during the regular season. Columbus won the first two contests on Jul. 26 and Sep. 20 before New England beat them in the series finale on Oct. 4. Federico Higuain and Ethan Finlay have both scored two goals against New England this year.

Additionally, the Crew enters Saturday’s first leg on a six-game home winning streak dating back to early-August.

The last time the Revolution and Crew met in the postseason came during the 2004 Eastern Conference semifinals, which the local XI won 2-1 on aggregate. The Revolution is 2-0-3 all-time against the Crew in postseason play.
