Revs Academy’s Herivaux to Enroll at Providence

New England Revolution U-18 midfielder Zach Herivaux will enroll at Providence College, per a release from the club, which announced the college commitments of eight other U-18 players on Thursday.
Herivaux, 18, will join the Friars for their defense of the BIG EAST championship for the upcoming season. The Revolution Academy product played with the Haiti U-20s last month, and joined the Revolution first team for the 2014 Desert Diamond Cup preseason tournament in Tucson, Ariz. last February.
Another Academy player who joined the Revolution in Tucson last year was goalkeeper Austin Aviza, who will attend Syracuse University.
Meanwhile, the college commitments of Chris Arling (University of New Hampshire), Derek Blanchette (Bryant University), Suri Chavali (University of Massachusetts-Amherst), Guy Kabala (Providence College), Amadu Kunateh (Dartmouth College), Matt Morana (Lehigh University) and Dylan Mott (Columbia University) were also announced by the club on Thursday.
“We look forward to seeing the continued development of our Academy graduates at the collegiate level,” Revolution director of youth development Bryan Scales said. “They have all done an exemplary job representing the New England Revolution, and I know that they’ll be successful at these universities both on and off the field.”
The nine players who have announced commitments:
Austin Aviza (Medway, Mass.) – Syracuse University
Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) – University of New Hampshire
Derek Blanchette (Scituate, R.I.) – Bryant University
Suri Chavali (Brookline, Mass.) – University of Massachusetts Amherst
Zach Herivaux (Brookline, Mass.) – Providence College
Guy Kabala (Manchester, N.H.) – Providence College
Amadu Kunateh (Lynn, Mass.) – Dartmouth College
Matt Morana (Shrewsbury, Mass.) – Lehigh University
Dylan Mott (Andover, Mass.) – Columbia University
Additional Under-18 players are expected to finalize their collegiate commitments in the coming months.
