Report: Soares Now Trialing with Viking FK

Another day, another trial for A.J. Soares.
A Norwegian report confirmed on Friday that the former Revolution center back will be trialing with Tippeligaen side Viking on Saturday.
Soares, who trained with another Norwegian first division outfit – Stabaek – earlier this week, will join the club in Spain, where it is preparing for a preseason scrimmage on Sunday.
“He will train with the team tomorrow,” Viking press officer Ole J. Askeland told MLSsoccer.com on Friday. “He might play [in the friendly] on Sunday.”
Askeland also told MLSSoccer.com that the club is targeting the same spot Soares filled during the past four years in New England.
“The team is looking for a right center back,” said Askeland.
Soares scored in a preseason scrimmage with Stabaek on Wednesday, but subsequent reports advised that the former first round pick was looking for an opportunity at a “bigger” club.
