Rudy, Woodberry Added to Roster

A pair of preseason trialists officially earned their keep after the Revolution added midfielder Tyler Rudy and defender London Woodberry to the roster on Saturday.
Rudy, 21, joined the club on trial prior to the start of preseason camp following a successful four years at Georgetown. He played in all five of the Revolution’s preseason matches to date primarily as a holding midfielder. Rudy was red carded in the Revolution’s 2-1 win over the Sounders on Wednesday. He will wear number 29.
Woodberry, 23, spent last season with Arizona United (USL) before joining the Revolution on trial last month. He saw the bulk of his minutes this winter in the middle of the defense, where he played in each of the club’s first five preseason contests. He will wear number 28.
The additions of Rudy and Woodberry brings the Revolution active roster to 23, seven shy of the maximum. Trialists Timi Mulgrew, Marc Fenelus, Trevor Spangenberg, Tomas Gomez all remain unsigned.
