Lee Nguyen was listed as questionable for the Revolution’s First Kick contest against the Sounders on Sunday due to right groin irritation, according the club-issued injury report.

Last year’s MVP finalist missed the entirety Revolution preseason camp due to the injury, as well as U.S. Men’s National Team obligations, but participated in training earlier this week. He told the media on Wednesday that he originally suffered the injury last November during training.

Incidentally, a right groin strain prevented Nguyen from playing in last year’s season opener in Houston.

Meanwhile, there was no mystery behind the remaining names on the Revolution injury report. Jermaine Jones had surgery to repair a sports hernia last month and is listed as out. His recovery is expected to last 4-6 weeks.

Donnie Smith was also listed as out after undergoing surgery for a left groin injury during the Desert Diamond Cup. He, too, is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
