ASL: Western Mass, Crusaders Draw 1-1

Maxi Vieira’s equalizer just after the hour mark allowed Western Mass Pro Soccer to secure a 1-1 road draw against AC Crusaders on Saturday at Washington Township High School in Washington Township, N.J.
Vieira scored in the 62nd minute, canceling out a 60th minute strike from Dodji Freitas that briefly put the guests ahead.
With the draw, the Lusitanos’ record went to 7-1-5 (26 points), one point shy of first-place Icon FC. The Crusaders’ mark went to 5-7-2 (17 points), three points shy of fourth-place Philadelphia Fury.
Western Mass returns to action on Saturday when they host the Evergreen Diplomats at Lusitano Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm.
