It appears that the Revolution will continue their postseason push without additional reinforcements as the organization did not announce any signings prior to Tuesday’s 5pm ET Roster Freeze deadline.

The club, which is currently carrying 25 players on its active roster, and has one player on the disabled list (Darrius Barnes), has held three open spots for much of the season. The last addition made to the roster was back in May, when the organization signed Youth Academy midfielder Zachary Herivaux to a Homegrown Player deal.

Over the course of the season, the Revolution have invited at least three players to its training grounds for a trial: U.S. U-23 defender Will Packwood, Guatemalan midfielder Marvin Ceballos, and Brazilian center back Renato Silva.

While Ceballos and Silva did not stay in Foxborough for long, Packwood has been a regular participant in training for portions of the summer.

Per MLS’s roster rules and regulations, teams may only add short term replacement(s) after the Roster Freeze Date in cases of Extreme Hardship.

In the event a team calls up a player (including League Pool Goalkeepers) during postseason play and he appears in a game, he is tied to that team for the remainder of the playoffs and MLS Cup. If a player is called up but does not play, then he is not tied to that team.
