MASL: Hartford City Kicks Off Inaugural Season Nov. 8

Hartford City FC will officially kick off its inaugural season in Major Arena Soccer League at 1:05pm on Nov. 8 at the XL Center where they’ll host the Chicago Mustangs.
The Connecticut-based franchise will play a 20-game regular season schedule that will run through early-March. They’ll close out their season on the road against the Syracuse Silver Knights on Mar. 4.
Hartford City’s head coach is Paul Wright, who suited up for the Western Mass Pioneers from 1999-2002. The club made a splash signing last month when it lured former Football League veteran Tom Williams ahead of the 2015-16 season.
Hartford City FC’s home opener Nov. 8 will mark the first time professional indoor soccer is played in the XL Center since the Hartford Hellions of the MISL played their last home match at the Hartford Civic Center on Feb. 24, 1981.
