Spring is in the air in New England – and on Tuesday, it wasn’t just because of the unusually mild temperatures.

The Revolution will kick off their 2016 MLS campaign in Houston on Mar. 6 at 3:00pm ET, and will open their home schedule six days later on Mar. 12 against DC United with a kickoff time to be determined after the league announced the home openers of all 20 clubs on Tuesday.

Following their 2016 Gillette Stadium debut, the Revolution will head to Talen Energy Stadium (formerly PPL Park) to face the Philadelphia Union on Mar. 20 with a kickoff time to be determined. The remainder of the Revolution’s regular season schedule will be announced the coming weeks.

The Mar. 6 regular season opener will mark the second time in three years that the Revolution will kick off their campaign at BBVA Compass Stadium. In 2014, they suffered a 4-0 loss to the Dynamo, the worst season-opening defeat in their history.

Meanwhile, the Mar. 12 match against DC will pit the Revolution against their most recent opponent, whom they dropped a 2-1 loss to in the knockout round of the Eastern Conference playoffs on Oct. 28.

The Revolution have opened the season at home only once in their 21 years in MLS: 2008, when they hosted the Dynamo at Gillette Stadium only four months after meeting them in the 2007 MLS Cup final.
