The Premier Development League (PDL) announced its master schedule for 2016 this week, and along with it, news that FC Boston Bolts has been added as an expansion side to the Northeast Division.

FC Boston will inherit the territory formerly occupied by Real Boston Rams, who dropped out of the league following the 2015 season. The expansion side will play its home matches at Mount Idea College in Newton, Mass. They will make their official PDL debut at home on May 14 against Seacoast United Phantoms at 6:00pm.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Western Mass Pioneers, the longest-tenured team in the Northeast Division, and the Phantoms will both kick off their 2016 campaigns on May 7 at 7:00pm in New Hampshire at a location to be determined. AC Connecticut and GPS Portland Phoenix will get their regular seasons started against each other on May 14 at Western Connecticut State in Danbury, Ct. at 6:00pm.

The eight-team Northeast Division, which also includes FA Euro, the Long Island Rough Riders, and the Westchester Flames, will play a 14-game regular season schedule running from early-May through mid-July.
