The Game Before the Game

Prior to Sunday’s Union-Revolution clash, Philadelphia’s USL team, Bethlehem Steel FC, will scrimmage Georgetown University for its second preseason match, which may feature a pair of faces familiar to local fans.
Earlier this year, Bethlehem inked former Revolution Youth Academy star Gabe Gissie to a USL deal. Gissie was last seen training with the Revolution senior team after his controversial contract with Sacramento Republic FC expired last fall.
Another player who’s spent time with the Steelmen this winter is former Rhode Island Oceaneers striker Nana Addai, who’s reportedly trialed with the USL side over the last few weeks. The Liberian international was one of two Oceaneers named to the 2015 ASL All-Star team.
Sunday’s scrimmage between Bethlehem Steel and Georgetown will kick off at 11:00 am on the Union training fields.
