Gameday: #NEvTOR

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Eight days after picking up their first win of the season, the Revolution (1-1-3, 6 points) will look to make it two in a row with Toronto FC (1-2-1, 4 points) in town for a classic Saturday afternoon conference clash. Kickoff is set for 4:00pm.
The Revolution head into their first meeting of the season against the Reds coming off a 1-0 win over the Red Bulls. Toronto FC is hoping to bounce back from a 1-0 loss last week at Colorado, where they played nearly 75 minutes shorthanded (and at altitude) due to Benoit Cheyrou’s early dismissal.

What’s at stake? It’s all about gaining momentum for the Revolution, who needed five games to make their first trip to the win column last week. Pitted against a road weary side like Toronto should make it a managable prospect. Then again, nothing will come easy with the likes of Sebastian Giovinco, Michael Bradley, and Will Johnson all on the opposite side of the pitch.
Biggest question: Can the Revolution get their offense back in gear? Through five games, the locals have only scored five goals, with three of them coming in their First Kick clash at Houston. Jay Heaps will need Lee Nguyen, Diego Fagundez and Juan Agudelo to be at their best in the final third in order to get the goals flowing again.
Weather: Conditions are expected to be favorable for Saturday’s contest, with cloudy and temperatures in the high-40s forecast for the afternoon and early evening.
Referees: Edvin Jurisevic will be the man in the middle for #NEvTOR. Joining Jurisevic will be Peter Manikowski (AR1) and Danny Thornberry (AR2). The fourth official will be Mark Kadlecik.
