The Revolution will journey to North Carolina in June to face the Charlotte Independence (USL) or Carolina RailHawks (NASL) in the U.S. Open Cup after U.S. Soccer announced the fourth round pairings on Thursday.

New England’s fourth-round matchup will take place on Jun. 15 in the Tar Heel state, where they’ll either face the Independence at Ramblewood Soccer Complex in Charlotte or the RailHawks at WakeMed Park in Cary.

The Revolution were upset by Charlotte in last year’s fourth round match at Harvard. The RailHawks and Revolution have never to met in the tournament.

New England won the U.S. Open Cup title in 2007.
