Revolution striker Juan Agudelo was named MLS Player of the Week for Week 4 on Tuesday in the wake of his two-goal performance against Minnesota United over the weekend.

Agudelo, who scored in the fourth and 41st minutes, helped lead the Revolution to an emphatic 5-2 win over the Loons on Saturday. The brace was his first since Aug. 2013.

“I think that when Juan is at his best, he makes Lee [Nguyen] and Kei [Kamara] even better,” Revolution coach Jay Heaps said after Saturday’s win. “I think he’s the pivot person. When he’s a little bit better, Lee starts to play better and then Kei starts to play better.”

The 24-year-old forward is the first Revolution player to pick up the award since Kelyn Rowe did it back in Sept. 2016.
