The Revolution won’t have two veteran defenders at their disposal for Saturday’s match vs. Orlando City after Antonio Delamea (Slovenia) and Je-Vaughn Watson (Jamaica) were called up for national team duty.

Delamea, who’s earned a team-high 24 starts this year, will join the Slovenia National Team on Tuesday ahead of its World Cup Qualifying matches at Slovakia on Friday and vs. Lithuania on Monday, Sept. 4. Delamea had previously been called up for a Jun. 10, 2017 World Cup Qualifier vs. Malta, which represented his second international cap.

Watson was called into Jamaica National Team camp ahead of its international friendly at Canada in Toronto on Saturday. To date, the 33-year-old defender has collected 70 caps with Jamaica, and scored four times during his international career.

With Delamea and Watson both absent ahead of the Revolution’s match vs. Orlando City, coach Jay Heaps will likely pair Benjamin Angoua with newcomer Claude Dielna in the central defense. Watson’s absence will likely mean that versatile defender London Woodberry will make the gameday 18.

Saturday’s match vs. Orlando City was originally scheduled for Mar. 11 and postponed due to extreme cold with wind chills in the single digits.
