Recent Revolution signing O’Brian Woodbine was called up by the Jamaica National Team on Monday and will not be available for selection for the club’s Sept. 8 clash vs. Montreal.
Woodbine, who was signed by the Revolution via free transfer last Thursday, will join Jamaca ahead of Friday’s clash against Panama on Friday in Panama City. From there, the Reggae Boyz will host Costa Rica on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in Kingston.
The 25-year-old wingback was slated to join the Revolution for training this week. But with his call-up, the Revolution expect him to return on Thursday, Sept. 12 instead.
Woodbine has been capped 14 times for Jamaica, and has started the side’s last three World Cup Qualifiers. He started at left back in Jamaica’s Jun. 7 World Cup Qualifier against the United States.
