Rumored Revolution target Heldon came on in the 59th minute of Cape Verde’s 0-0 draw to Democratic Republic of Congo in Thursday’s African Cup of Nations clash.

The 26-year-old winger was kept out of the lineup due to a toothache, which forced him to miss the two training sessions leading up to Thursday’s contest.

In the 67th minute, he collaborated with Ryan Mendes, but the latter couldn’t put his shot past goalkeeper Kidiaba Muteba. Eighteen minutes later, he sent a cross inside the box for Fernando Varela, but couldn’t put it past Muteba.

The Sporting winger took matters into his own hands in the 87th minute when he fired a point blank shot that Muteba denied.

Heldon and his Cape Verde teammates will return to action on Monday when they face Zambia.
