Junior’s Penalty Gives Hydra 1-0 Win Over Pioneers

Worcester striker Alencar Junior scored from the spot in the 22nd minute to help the Hydra to a 1-0 victory over the Pioneers on Saturday.

The strike from the spot gave Junior his team-leading fourth goal of the season. Between the sticks, Hydra keeper Jose Silva stopped everything he saw to keep the guests off the board at Foley Stadium.

The commonwealth clubs will renew their rivalry on June 2 at Lusitano Stadium in Ludlow, Mass. Game time is set for 7:30pm.
