Yannick Kabala gave the Phantoms an early lead it would not relinquish in Saturday’s 3-1 win over the Ottawa Fury at Portsmouth High School.
Kabala (4′), Ryan Dunn (32′) and Dylan George (46′) all scored for the hosts while Alex Rodriguez (34′) brought one back for the guests. Phantoms’ keeper Colin O’Donnell faced seven shots and saved all but one to preserve the victory.
With the win, the Phantoms remain undefeated (3-0-2, 11 points) in their first five and boast a three point edge over second place CFC Azul in the Northeast Division.
The Phantoms return to action on Jun. 2 at 7pm against the Voltage at South Burlington High School.
