Bengtson Scores 2 in Olympic Opener

Revolution forward Jerry Bengtson captured a second-half brace for Honduras in a 2-2 draw against Morocco in Thursday’s Group D Olympic Opener.
Bengtson, who signed with the Revolution on July 5, struck in the 56th minute when he pounced on a Maynor Figueroa rebound. The 25-year-old striker later converted from the penalty spot in the 65th minute for his second strike of the half.
Morocco’s goals came from Abdel Barrada and Zakaria Labya, while Zakarya Bergdich was red carded in the 71st minute.
Bengtson and Honduras return to action on Jul. 29 when they face Spain in the second round of Group D.
